At the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Gabicce Mare, the Laboratory created the decorative floor covering that houses and enhances the Baptismal Font. The work is part of a highly contemporary and minimalist architectural context, characterized by pure surfaces of exposed concrete and light-colored stone.

The mosaic design reinterprets the theology of Christian baptism through a sober and poetic visual language: the base of the font becomes an imaginary pool of water, a clear ritual reference to the baptism by immersion in rivers of the earliest communities. The radial movement of the tiles creates an illusion of perpetual fluidity, transforming the liturgical area into a place of profound contemplation where the millennia-old tradition of sacred art dialogues with the most contemporary design.
